Care & Handling
Cauliflower Crumbles® Chopped Vegetable “Fried Rice” Blend should be bright white in color - with flecks of green and orange - and firm to the touch.
Store unused Cauliflower Crumbles® Chopped Vegetable “Fried Rice” Blend in its resealable pouch in your refrigerator’s crisper drawer. Product shelf life is 16 days; refer to the “Best if Used By” date on the package.
Follow package directions to steam Cauliflower Crumbles® Chopped Vegetable “Fried Rice” Blend right inside the easy steam-in-pack pouch. Crumbles are very versatile and can be roasted, baked, sautéed or added to soups and salads. (Cauliflower is washed and ready to use, so rinsing is not necessary when cooking by means other than steaming in pouch.)
Cauliflower’s mild flavor allows it to easily blend into recipes, adding moisture, texture and, of course, nutrition. It’s also a great ingredient to absorb and deliver flavors that complement the dish.
Nutrition & Health Benefits:
The term “nutritional density” is used to describe foods that provide substantial amounts of vitamins and minerals and relatively few calories. Cauliflower, which belongs to the same family as cabbage, is an excellent source of Vitamin C, Vitamin B-complex and minerals including iron and calcium. The additional veggies in this blend add even more nutritional value.
Carrots: Beta-carotene, antioxidants, Vitamin A and Vitamin C;
Broccoli: Folate, potassium, Vitamin C and Vitamin K;
Green Onions: Vitamin K and potassium.
