Care & Handling
Cauliflower Crumbles™ should be white in color and firm to the touch.
Store unused Cauliflower Crumbles in their resealable pouch in the crisper section of your refrigerator. Product shelf life is 16 days; refer to the “Best if Used By” date on the package.
Follow the package directions to steam Cauliflower Crumbles right inside their easy steam-in-pack pouch. Crumbles are very versatile and can be roasted, baked, sautéed, mashed, added to soups, salads, and even used as a healthful ingredient in pizza dough, breads and desserts. (Cauliflower is washed and ready to use, so rinsing is not necessary when cooking by means other than steaming in pouch.)
Cauliflower’s mild flavor allows it to easily blend into recipes, adding moisture, texture and, of course, nutrition. It’s also a great ingredient to absorb and deliver flavors that complement the dish.
Nutrition & Health Benefits:
The term “nutritional density” is used to describe foods that provide substantial amounts of vitamins and minerals and relatively few calories. Cauliflower Crumbles™ are a perfect example of this. Cauliflower, which belongs to the same family as cabbage, is an excellent source of Vitamin C, Vitamin B-Complex and minerals including iron and calcium.
